Supervised by an agricultural science teacher or county extension agent, winners must keep accurate and detailed records of the animal’s progress, submitting records to both the Show and the donor to chronicle the heifer’s development.
Each year, approximately 350 certificates are awarded. Since the Calf Scramble was added to the Show in 1942, $9,853,500.00 has been awarded in certificates and bonuses to 18,242 young Texans.

Stalling
Calf Scramble Exhibitors will now be stalled in the Calf Scramble section by FFA/4H. You will still need an individual stall decoration.
- Stall signs cannot include any sponsor references. The correct term to use is donor.
- All Scramble heifers must remain in their assigned scramble stall with the exception of being stalled in a tie out. Violators will forfeit all awards and premiums.

Online entry will be activated on Oct.1, 2008.
The 2009 Calf Scramble Application packet will be available at a later date. Submit application to your AST/CEA. Entries are not valid until your AST/CEA submits entries online.
