Mutton Bustin'
In 2009, mutton bustin' was added to the event line-up at RODEOHOUSTON. Mutton bustin' followed the Calf Scramble event, just prior to the beginning of the concert. Each performance, 10 riders took a ride on sheep for a chance at the champion mutton bustin' buckle.
All mutton bustin' participants must be between the ages of five and six years old and not weigh more than 60 pounds. Participants will attempt to ride a "mutton" or sheep the longest.
